On this page more information is available on special Watermax solar pump applications such as Multi Pump Installations, End-suction Applications & Manhole Applications. More than one (preferably not more than three) pumps can be installed down the same borehole to increase the flow rate for a specific application. If used from another source, like a fountain, river or dam even more pumps can be installed. However, it must be understood that each pump will require an own set of solar modules and a dedicated Pumpmaster (control box). The following is a drawing of a typical W-range double pump installation (please note that a double pump manifold is required):
The Watermax pumps can also be used as end-suction pumps where water needs to be sucked from a source and pump further to a delivery point. The suction head should not exceed 4m, although it may be possible to stretch this up to 8m. The Watermax solar pump can also be used as a manhole pump, pumping upside down from a sump. A special filter is fitted to the pump.
